Country Weddings are the best! We had our very own country wedding at the ranch when my daughter, Tessa, got married to her country boy, Adam. Our place was the perfect venue with a 2-acre lawn, horse barn and pastures ~ We also took a limo ride up on the mountain for more pics beside a huge old barn and out in a green wheat field. 250 family and friends attended a perfect, although chilly, June wedding.
We had so much fun planning the bridal shower and the wedding. It was 6 months of searching through magazine for ideas, talking with florists, finding the perfect dress, arranging the DJ, deciding on the menu – which was pure country – BBQ chicken, pulled pork, beans, potato salad, and corn bread. Of course there was fine wine and beer to top off the meal while we listened to unforgettable toasts by the bride and groom, maid of honor and best man!
After dinner, the DJ cranked the music up and we danced the night away ~ basking in the spectacular sunset over the Cascade mountains.
If you get a chance to be part of a country wedding ~ say yes and enjoy every moment!
